Our Story

Welcome to Bloom & Brisket Ranch

Kristopher and Rebecca met working on a guest ranch in the mountains west of Denver, Colorado in 2003. After years of dreaming, in 2021 they moved to their 36-acre ranch near Rabbit Mountain in Hygiene, Colorado to raise their five kids and build a life close to the land. Today, Bloom & Brisket Ranch is home to a growing herd of registered Highland cattle, pasture-raised poultry, and a seasonal flower farm — all rooted in sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and ethical animal care.

Highland Cattle in the pasture

What We Do

Our focus is raising quality animals and flowers while caring for the land we steward.

Registered Highland Cattle

We’re building a herd of registered Highlands known for their hardiness, gentle nature, and incredible beef. Future plans include offering beef shares and registered calves for sale.

Pasture-Raised Poultry & Eggs

Our hens roam freely, producing nutrient-dense, golden-yolked eggs available seasonally. Ethical care and open pastures mean healthier birds and better eggs.

Cut Flowers

Zinnias, dahlias, and seasonal blooms grow in our gardens each summer — sold locally for bouquets, events, and seasonal subscriptions.

Our Values

At Bloom & Brisket Ranch, our values are rooted in stewardship — of the land, the animals, and the legacy we’re building with our family. We believe in working with nature, not against it, practicing regenerative agriculture that improves soil health and supports diverse ecosystems. Our cattle and poultry are raised with care and respect, given the space to thrive on pasture. Every decision we make is guided by a commitment to sustainability, ethical animal care, and passing down a love for ranching and the land to the next generation.
